Shia La Beouf is one of my favorite actors at this time. I first saw him in Disturbia, then in Transformers. I love those two movies. Another one which I didn’t know he was in, was the animated movie Surf’s Up. He lent his voice for this film and it was released in 2007. I didn’t watch it until August of this year 2008.

Surf’s Up is an animated movie about a surfer that went for what he wanted to do even though everyone in his town didn’t believe in him. He believed in himself. Spoiler’s ahead. I love a lot of things in this movie. I really love watching this movie. I have watched it over 100 times. People at home are sick of seeing it lolz. I just love everything about it. The voices of all the characters there are just right, even the Fire Urchin which only had 2 lines. I love how it said “broken, broken, gone, gone, broken broken.“ I just love it. Lolz. The voices of Cody, Big Z, tv hosts and film crews, reggie Belafonte and the scout are just perfect for their parts.

There are 3 parts in the movie that I really like. First is the part where he said “I understand my mom’s judgemental, probably because she cares partially and partially because everyone else is saying ‘Cody’s This Cody’s that, Cody’s this’…Cody’s me bro, let me be me, when’s that gonna start?” I like that part because I felt the same way the past years. There are people around me and my mom asking her what I want to do with my life or where I’m going. It’s implying that I am going nowhere. Or they are comparing me to my cousins who already have big responsibilities on some huge companies in the country. I don’t want to be in that position in an industry I don’t like. I don’t want to prove anything to anyone. I just want to prove to myself what I can achieve. I don’t want to do something so that other people will think that I’m successful even if I’m not really happy. I want to be like Cody, going for what he really really want which is surfing. I want to go for what I want which is making money online.

Second is the part where he was swimming trying to catch up with the whale that is carrying all the contestants for Big Z Memorial Surf Contest. The background music at the third time he went towards the whale, swimming with all he has got and trying to climb to it to go with them to the contest, the background music then was just perfect. I want to listen to that score over and over again. I even searched Youtube for it and found other people who like the score too.

The third part I liked was when Chicken Joe was captured by the Pen Guans. They were trying to cook him but Joe has a different perspective of the event. He thought that they treated him as a king and put him in a hot tub. I like it because it was really funny, especially when the Pen Guans were dancing. I love the voices that they have for the characters, everything was perfect, from Cody to Big Z, to Reggie and the scout to the film crew and even the background voices were really perfect. They really capture the essence of a reality television.

Those were my favorite parts in the movie. Now, I want to talk about the characters in the movie that I can see in my own life. One example is Cody’s big brother. I see this character as a representation of people that have put me down. They said negative things about me, basically stomping on my self-esteem. I also see him as a person who always follow the norms of society and sometimes can be insecure of people who is better than him. He met someone who also shared the same experience. Another character I can see in my life is Chicken Joe. I see him as a representation of the good friends or acquaintances that share my passion for online activities, making money online, home-based professions, freelance writing, ghostwriting, pay per articles, affiliate incomes, and network marketing. Third character in the movie is Big Z which I think represents a mentor or mentors that I have met and will meet in my life that may help me in being the best that I can be in my chosen endeavor. Their guidance and training would have helped in achieving success on the money-making things that I really want to do. Lastly,

Cody represents ME. Someone who did not let circumstances stop him from trying to go for what he wants. Everyone around him did not understand what he was doing which was surfing. He was the only one who surfed in his place. No one else surf there but he still focused on what he wanted. He didn’t really listen to whatever negative things people around him are saying about him. He really tried to go for what he wanted. He didn’t let an opportunity pass him by.

So, if you want to be motivated to go for your dreams and at the same time watch a very, very funny animated film, then this is a must-see movie for you. From the beginning to the end, you can have a feel of a real reality film in the making. The characters, the plot, background music, the screenplay, everything is just PERFECT. 

Seducing Mr. Perfect

It has another title; Seducing Mr. Robin, but I like Mr. Perfect better :)

A friend of mine, has this movie in her laptop. She suggested I watched it. I'm not really fond of korean movies or tv series, but when I saw this movie..... it was funny and romantic from start to finish. Reallyyyy, one of my favorites of all time. The screenplay, how they acted, how it was directed. I love all of it. I want to have a transcript of this movie :) I especially love the part when they were at a bench and the girl was saying it was her fault, then robin (daniel henney) said that it was not her fault, they were just weren't the right guys for her. Now that was something any girl would like to hear from a guy :)

I'm going to watch it over and over again

now im interested in his career and I heard he's in the new movie, x-men:wolverine, im definitely going to watch that if he's in there.

Bridge to Terabithia

I watched this movie last night, on HBO. I have heard ravings about this movie before but never really tried to watch it. My cousin was also interested in it so we both watched it.... I love this movie. I love the way they created their new world and still survive the harsh reality of the school world. I knew I would cry in that movie. They portrayed the characters so well and I could feel the hurt feelings that jess was feeling when he finally accepted that his friend was gone. I sometimes do that too, you know be in the denial stage, but then after sometime, I learn to accept.

I'm starting to like Josh Hutcherson. I only watched 3 of his films at this time. The recent one I watched was Terabithia, second, Journey to the center of the earth and the first movie I've seen him in was Little Manhattan (which I also watched in HBO). My favorite is Little Manhattan, it's a cute movie, really depicting puppy love.
